２シーズンに渡り北海道のスノーサーファー達の世界観を、世界有数のパウダースノー、
深い白樺の森、そして雄大な山々に囲まれながら追い続けた作品である。
スノーボーディングの新しい形とも言えるこの独特な活動はサーフライディングスタイルと、
カウンターカルチャーであるにも関わらず、日本古来の精神性や美意識とを融合させる。
今世界中で注目されるスノーサーフムーブメント、その発祥の地で、彼らパイオニア達が
何故このライフスタイルを追求したのか、その理由を垣間見る。

For three years, award winning photographer Shane Peel has tracked a tight-knit group of Snowsurfers through the world’s deepest powder snow, amid the silver birch forests and volcanic peaks of Hokkaido’s mountain ranges.
This modern form of snowboarding fuses surfriding style with an approach that
embraces traditional Japanese values of purity and refinement, yet is completely counterculture as a lifestyle choice.
